Paralyzed UK Man Had an Epileptic Seizure While At Home with His Father

Chris Benton is a 28-year-old father of two from Birmingham. The man has quite the story to share about how he ended up paralyzed from the waist down.

Benton recalls being at home with his father and two kids on the 2nd of June. The UK man’s father declared that his son dropped to the ground and begun seizing. An ambulance arrived at Benton’s Longbridge resident at around 2:00 p.m. and took him to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Although Chris had been stabilized by the paramedics, the ER doctors decided to keep the patient overnights. The very next day, Chris was told that he’s ready to return home, despite his medical record saying that he was at risk of falling.

The paralyzed UK man remembers begging the doctors to let him stay in the hospital for another day because he was not feeling well. However, he was told that there’s no reason for concern.

As soon as the man stepped out of the hospital, he had another epileptic seizure. The man was found lying on the sidewalk by a hospital employee and rushed to the resuscitation room.

When he woke up, he was told that he had fallen and hit his head ton the concrete. The blow to Benton’s head was so powerful, that he became paralyzed.

Following the incident, the man was forced to move in with his best friend because he’s no longer able to care for himself.
